If you would love to have a Thistle Industries bag, but don’t see anything that is just right, here’s how to make all of your leather dreams come true.
Timeframe for custom orders is approximately 4 to 8 weeks. Feel free to contact Thistle Industries any time to find out what the current estimated wait time is.
There are 3 options for custom orders:
- A design that is currently in stock, but you would like it made in a colour of your choice.
- A style of bag or product that you have seen made by TI, but is not available at this time.
- A bag, tote, belt or other TI product that is a custom-designed, handmade original, unique to you.
Option #1
Will be the current price on the website plus 15%. Why the tax, you say?! Well, when I sew a line of products I do all the cutting and sewing in a mini production line which helps cut down on time. Sewing just one of something significantly increases the time it takes to make a single item.
Option #2
Some products may have been a truly limited run and will not be made again, while others I will still have the pattern for. If the pattern and appropriate materials are still available, you’re in luck! This option will also be the cost of the product plus 15%.
Option #3
Requires a significant amount of working together and back and forth communication to understand what you’re looking for. Often for truly custom pieces there are several steps of prototypes and a lot of time and effort that goes into creating a new pattern. Once I have an understanding of what you want and what materials you have chosen I will provide you with a quote.
For all custom orders
A price will be quoted before any of the designing/sewing begins. This will be the final price of the product unless the customer makes changes/additions after sewing begins. If this is the case then the additional costs will be discussed and agreed upon before changes are made.
All custom orders must be paid in full prior to production.
If you are looking for a very specific or special leather and haven’t seen it used for any Thistle Industries products, don’t hesitate to ask!
Leather can be ordered specifically for a project, however, please note that there will be additional charges for a special order. (Not in addition, but as part of the discussion of overall pricing).
